Charity work feels so good

I really really really like this candid! The guy sitting next to me, sang us We Are The World and I cried dalam diam, belakang kaca mata.

Semalam pergi ke Ian Fergusan Foundation, Kota Kinabalu Sabah yang menempatkan ibu tunggal terbiar, anak-anak yatim dan orang cacat. You know how I am with anak-anak yatim and such kan. If you have read my Adam entry you tahu lah. Adam entry, one of my evocative entries of all time.

Seriously, diorang happy gilaaa that we were there to visit them. Muka sorang-sorang teruja gila. Lari-lari sana-sini, gelak-gelak. Before this, I didnt know they love visitors, so I was like "Eh diorang suka ke kita lawat? Tah2 diorang nak rehat etc". Rupa-rupanya gembira dan meriah sangat, siap nari tarian Sumazau beramai-ramai. Then the FFM team manage to collect more than RM800 dari kami-kami yang melawat (tak ramai pun, satu bas je), so it was good lah. Budak-budak kecil ni, bila orang beri duit, diorang terus lari bagi penjaga diorang. Awww.


Penjaga diorang are the best. They're long serving workers and they work there 24/7 no cuti for only RM400.00 a month. Its like one big giant family. Dah lah environment cantik and luas banyak pokok bunga (diorang suka berkebun).


I pun bersembang with one of the lady there. I hugged this girl and tanya how did she ended up here? Whats the story behind this? The lady replied the little girl's father wanted to rape her. The little girl told her aunty about this (smart kid, sebab you know sometimes kalau you tengok movie, when the daughter tell the mother, the mother would back up her husband). So she was sent there. Then I asked the lady, oh wheres the mother? To which she replied, I am the mother. Wow tabah gila.


Most of the cases I've heard, its very hard for a wife to leave/ get away from the husband. Not even for the children's sake. But this is heroic act okay. Now the lady and all her 3children stay there, so theyre like one big family, the lady takes care of other kids there as well :') Before I left, I told her to stay strong.

Kalau organisasi/sekolah/kelab anda menganjurkan lawatan ke rumah-ruma amal, anda patut pergi dan rasakan pengalaman seronok ini! Anda akan rasa bersyukur dengan kehidupan anda dan anda juga dapat menceriakan hari mereka :')
